Parents

We know that parents/carers are key in supporting their children’s progress through school and we value and work hard to support close partnerships with families. In this section you’ll find relevant information and guidance about various aspects of School Life.  If you have a specific question not answered here, please do get in touch.

One parent, whose views were typical of many said 'My daughter is excelling at this school and she loves to take part in the wide  and varied extra-curricular activities that take place.'

'This is a great school welcoming, caring and really involved in the local community.'

Close involvement and opportunities

We offer many different opportunities for parents and carers to stay closely involved school life and their children’s educational development. Some examples include open days, special assemblies and special event days.

We always welcome feedback and hope that you would let us know quickly if you became worried about any aspect of your child’s school experience. The sooner we know the sooner we can address it!  We would always speak to parents/carers if we had any concerns about their child.

Prospective parents/carers

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

At Moss Lane we are fortunate to have a very active and supportive PTA – The Moss Lane School Association. Over the years they have run many enjoyable events to bring parents, carers, governors and teachers together. They have also raised thousands of pounds to fund wonderful resources for the school including books, iPads and of course our new playground.  Find out more about the PTA and how to get involved.
